This firefighter anthology starts off with a fizzle: Rachel Firasek’s “Smoking Stilettos,” featuring a pair of stunningly immature characters and almost no sexual chemistry. Fortunately, it flares to life with some kinky heat in Sabrina York’s “Saving Charlotte,” setting the pattern of ups and downs with some seriously hot stories (such as Lynn Townsend’s “Big Trucks”) and some that aren’t much more than smoke and bluster (such as Adele Dubois’s “Hook Me Up”). Likewise, the firemen vary: there’s the sweet hero coming home to make hardcore love to his worried girlfriend in Shoshanna Evers’s “Falling Ashes” and then there’s the jerk willing to take advantage of a terrified woman in Cynthia D’Alba’s “Something’s Burning.” Despite the variation in tone and quality, any woman who has ever had a fireman fantasy can probably find one or two stories to enjoy. (Oct.) -- Publisher's Weekly

Big Trucks Getting to the scene fast and safe is what Amy Whitacker does best, behind the wheel of the fire truck. Hearing the tones go off gets the blood pumping for Steve Tillery. Seeing Amy handle the big red truck sends that blood rushing south. Steve thinks he is pretty good at keeping his feelings to himself, especially since he works with Amy. Apparently, she is better equipped at knowing what he needs than he is. Office romance may never be a good idea, but hot sweaty sex in a fire truck? Who would say no to that?

Amazon Customer Review: "This book is glorious, all the stories are well written and sexy. The steampunk aspect is not over looked at all, with airships, rocket cars and space wars, the only thing hotter then the steam engines is the sex."

RT Rating (4 Stars)

With a foreword by Meljean Brook and an introduction by the editor, this erotic paean to steampunk captures many aspects of the genre. Expect the unexpected, whether it is the baron’s mechanical arm in Sylvia Day’s Regency, “Iron Hard,” or Saskia Walker’s walking insect-like creation in “Heart of the Daedalus,” set after the Crimean war. Each story has its fair share of sex in addition to the invention that is out of place and time.

The owner of a dirigible seduces the pilot of a hot-air balloon in 19th-century San Francisco in Sacchi Green’s “Fog, Flight and Moonlight.” “The Undeciphered Heart” by Christine d’Abo finds two lovers in need of new hearts long before transplants were a possibility. “Mr. Hartley’s Infernal Device” allows Elspeth to act out her darkest fantasies in Charlotte Stein’s tale. Elizabeth Coldwell’s entry, “A Demonstration of Affection,” has an investor demanding presentation of a mechanical man that is human in every way. Other authors include Vida Bailey, Anna Meadows, Lisabet Sarai, Andrea Dale, Lynn Townsend, Mary Borsellino, Nikki Magennis and Anya Richards.

5 stars - I loved this book! All of the stories are well written and just the perfect length. Some are good for a laugh or two while a few of them made me think and maybe even tear up a bit. There were some great twists on the old zombie POV too! Read it! -- Erin, Goodreads review

An anthology featuring males and males and zombies, oh my!

This anthology is a must read for those who not only enjoy the male/male genre, but those who are gearing up for the zombie apocalypse, as well! It's a unique collection of short stories offering something for everyone, the various authors bringing a different taste and feel to each story. Some are romantic, some are humorous, and some are sexy, but all are refreshing takes on this insanely popular niche in paranormal romance.

Shadow of Kenfig by Lynn Townsend

Mara Ismine, author of Smoke: a Dark Masters' story, writes: This is a great collection of stories featuring steam, magic and shapeshifters. The steam age inventions are wonderful, the magic is complex and the shapeshifters are, mostly, gorgeous. Each story explores a different facet of steampunk from a different angle to form a very varied selection of enjoyable male/male tales.

Lord Seth Maitland needs an expert on gwr (werewolves) and Dr. Poindexter Fitzhugh is the obvious choice. Seth plays his cards close to his chest, in more ways than one, to get Dex to help. A beautifully detailed picture of gas lit London clubs, clockwork prostheses and werewolves. I loved the ‘Steamies’ that have a driver and need a second coachman to shovel coal and maintain the engine. The world is so well built and clearly visualized that I am sure there will be more stories set in it, perhaps more about Seth and Dex.

Blood Cries Up

5 star - Amy Moler, Amazon Review

What an amazing idea :) A fascinating short story with a seriously out of the box premise. Possession by a hawt ghost who's not exactly what you think he is, and then a heart warming resolution.

Hot, Hot Read! Five Stars! Turner and Eppie, who knew this would end like it did? I love the author's description of a Lancaster, it truly was a surprise to read about one. Now back to the story, this is an amazing, smoking hot read and one that is definitely worth reading. For me, it is always about the visuals the author can put in my head and Lynn Townsend did so much more than that. It was hot, it was what I like and I'm glad I read this one! This Is One Sexy Short Story! Four Stars! Lynn Townsend is one of those authors that make every word count. This is a fun, spicy read that leaves you smiling as well as fanning your face.
